2. Develop effective essential questions;
3. Utilize a variety of sources;
4. Present material in a manner appropriate to audience, purpose, and content.
Procedure:
1. Choose a general theme from one of our pieces of literature we have studied this year.
2. Develop essential questions based on your group’s research topic, then identify individual supporting questions for personal research. Essential questions should:
a. Relate to the group topic and to each other;
b. Reflect higher order thinking (asking how or why);
c. Be able to be broken down into supporting questions.
3. Research your individual supporting question. You will need at least three resources.
4. Complete the Big 6 Student Planning Guide as you research.
5. Combine your research into one wiki page. Each page needs a title, introduction, and conclusion. Each individual segment needs visuals and a linked MLA bibliography.
6. Present your research to the class.
7. Individuals will turn in: Big 6 Research Planning Guide, Notes
